5 Cuffed On Drug Charges In Atlantic City

Five suspects have been arrested on various drug charges following complaints from residents about illegal sales in their neighborhood, authorities said.

Detectives with the Special Investigations Section conducted a surveillance operation near South Carolina and Baltic avenues on Wednesday morning, Atlantic City police said.

Detectives arrested four males, including one juvenile, and one woman, police said.

Police recovered 365 bags of heroin and more than 10 grams of cocaine from the arrested individuals, they said.

The investigation was led by Detectives Nicholas Berardis and Christopher Smith.

Arrested on various drug charges were:

  • Ibn Demps, 22, of Atlantic City.
  • Ricky Gilliard, 23, of Atlantic City,
  • Mary Inman, 40, of Mays Landing,
  • DeShawn Neiderman, 28, of Ventnor City, and, 
  • a 17-year old male from Atlantic City.

All five suspects were released on a summons with a future court date.
